Onion flowers Batibasa

ପିଆଜ ସାଇଁ ବାଟିବସା/ Onion flowers Batibasa.. Batibasa is a cooking technique which is widely used in  Odia cuisine.. Mix all the ingredients, cover and cook  in low flame,that’s the basic process to which there could be mild variations.. There are tons of batibasa recipes using several vegetables .All the flavour remain intact and the vegetables cook on  it's own without any water, doesn’t  it sounds like magic?? And trust me the taste of the dish is also magical
Here's the recipe 😊💕
Ingredients :- 
Onion flowers - 1 bunch
Potato -1
Mustard seeds-2 tsp
Poppy seeds- 2 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Dry chilly powder- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder-½ tsp
Green chilly- 1/2
Garlic pods- 5/6
Salt as per taste
Mustard oil- 2 tbsp
Method:-
1.Cut the onions flowers in long strips and avoid the flowers part.
2. Cut the potatoes also in long strips.. keep aside.
3. Make a fine paste of mustard, cumin, poppy seeds, garlic n green chillies.
4. Mix all the ingredients in a big bowl.
5. Heat little bit oil in a Kadai,add Panchaphutan into this and allow to crackle. Then immediately add all the mixed ingredients into this and cover it with lid and Cook for 10/15 minutes in low flame.
6.In between just check that the mixture is not sticking to the kadai.
7. Serve hot with steamed Rice and Daal.
