Sweet appam is a traditional South Indian dish. Authentically they are made from rice, jaggery & coconut but I make these with left over idly batter . I just add grated coconut , jaggery/sugar into the idly batter.then it's to good go for make these sweet appam.. In this post I will share both the authentic one and easier one.so here is the recipe 珞

1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 cup grated coconut
1/2 cup jaggery (adjust as per your taste)
1/2 cup chopped ripened banana
1 cardamom
Ghee for cooking
Salt as per your taste
Method:-
Take 1/2 cup grated coconut, 1/2 cup of chopped banana and cardamom. Grind it until becomes smooth paste.
Next add in 1/2 cup of powdered jaggery and grind it again.Transfer it to a container. Add in salt. Add rice flour .
Mix well and prepare slightly thick batter.
Now heat the paddu pan and put 1/2 tsp of ghee in all the moulds.
Pour the batter in the pan. Keep the stove at low flame.
Close the lid for a minute. Allow it to cook under low flame.Open the lid and flip them. Again cook on the other side under low flame. Cook until both sides turn crispy n golden brown.
Serve them hot.

1/2 cup jaggery
A pinch of salt
2 cardomom
Method:-
Heat the paddu pan. Mix all the ingredients. Grease the pan with some ghee.pour the batter on the pan.
