Mango Jam

Homemade happiness, after I have finished two small jars of pineapple jam, I wanted to try some more home made jams. Trust me, homemade jams taste way better than the store bought jams. Just pure fruit, no artificial colouring, no preservatives and the best way to store the goodness of fruit. And it's one of the best way to enjoy mango in mango season!!!

Here’s my homemade mango jam recipe:-

Ingredients :-

 Sl. no Item Quantity
 1 Mango Approx. 1 - 1.5 Kg
 2 Sugar  or
Sugar free
100 - 150 gms (1 - 1.5 cup)
N.B.:-
Add sugar according to the sweetness of the mangoes.
If diabetic, consider using equivalent substitute of sugar free.
 3 Lemon Juice 1 tbsp

Method :-

  • Peel your mangoes and cut the flesh from the seed core.
  • Blend them with the help of a hand blender.
  • Transfer into a heavy bottom pan/kadai and add sugar to it.
  • Heat it up. Cook for 15 to 20 mins in medium flame till the sugar is dissolved and get little thick.
  • Add the lemon juice n cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Now switch off the flame. Let it be cool down completely .
  • Then store it in clean dry glass jar and enjoy this with Bread, Roti, Chapati or Paratha.
(Note:- Self life is three month if stored in fridge)
