Methi chicken


Methi chicken..
What I say about this recipe.. always a hit whenever I make these... simple ingredients and basic way to make this recipe. I always used fresh methi for this, if u don't have methi then replace with Kasurimethi (sun-dried fenugreek leaves).. Here is the recipe ☺️..

Ingredients:-
Chicken- 1 kg
Onions- 3 big 
Fresh methi - 1 bunch (2 cups) 
(If you are using Kasurimethi -1 cup)
Ginger- garlic paste- 1tbsp
Chicken masala- 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder- 1 tbsp
Red chilli powder- 1 tbsp
Greenchilly-1/2 
Garlic cloves -10/15
Ginger - 1 inch 
Corrinader leaves -2 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Lemon juice- 1 tbsp
Ghee- 4 tbsp
Bayleaves-1
Cloves-1/2
Cinnamon stick -½ inch
Blackpepper -2/3
Green cardmom-1/2

Method:-

First clean the chicken properly ,then marinate the chicken with curd, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste n all the dry masala, leave it for half an hour.
Make a fine paste of onion, garlic,ginger and corrinader leaves .
After half an hour, Heat oil in heavy kadai/wok. Then add bayleaves,cinnamon, blackpepper, cloves ,green cardmom  n 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste into it. saute it for 1 minutes  , now time for add the masala paste ,then saute it for few minutes.
Then add the methi leaves into this and cover it for few mintues till the methi leaves slightly cooked .Then add the  marinated chicken into this,mix well n cover it, cooked this in low flame. Cook till the chicken well done. It takes approximately 35-40 minutes. Serve this with Roti/naan.😊
